Workers on Amnesty Day, the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous waste at no charge, saw 328 cars in 240 minutes come through, according to Environmental Superintendent Rick Harris.
At times cars were waiting in line from the drop off location at the Santa Rosa County South Side Service Center to the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Residents can dispose of household hazardous material, such as oil, gas, computers, etc., at no charge at the entrance of the Central Landfill on Da Lisa Road in Milton during regular operating hours.
