Local sheriffs from four counties jailed

Santa Rosa County Sheriff Wendell Hall gets handcuffed by his Special Deputy Kaylynn Richburg before being led into the Local Yokel Jail for the Radiothon March 2 benefiting the Sacred Heart Foundation.Sheriffs and deputies from four counties were jailed March 2 in Pensacola.
They weren’t locked away for breaking the law, however. Instead they voluntarily were locked up in a make-shift jail during the Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital Radiothon.

The Radiothon is a “three-day live radio broadcast to raise funds to provide sick or injured children in our community with specialized equipment needed for their care,” according to www.sacred-heart.org/radiothon. As a part of the Radiothon, sheriffs must raise money from donations to make bail.
