The Florida Department of Children and Families and Volunteer Florida are hosting forums to see what the needs of the families and communities in Santa Rosa County are.
According to Wendy Spencer, CEO of Volunteer Florida, the Florida Department of Children and Families received $42,430 in the form of a planning grant. That grant money was given to them so they could discern the community needs. Once the needs are outlined they will build an application asking Volunteer Florida for an AmeriCorps grant.
