Safety drives new licensing procedure

As of Jan. 1, young drivers can no longer take their permit test online.

After 601 drivers were re-tested and less than 41 percent could not pass the test when taken in the driver license office, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles decided that in the interest of safety, the online testing option would be removed.
