Tree planting to honor Kathleen Wells

The Friends of Navarre Library and the Navarre Garden Club are remembering the late Kathleen Wells by planting a tree at the library on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. Wells died in August 2010. A long time Navarre resident, she was a charter member of both organizations and remained active as long as she was able.

A color guard from Navarre High School's JROTC unit will open the program with the posting of the colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The dedication is read by Navarre Garden Club members in a traditional Arbor Day ceremony.
