The Navarre Area Architectural Review Board approved plans for a coffee shop sign and a picnic pavilion at its meeting July 13.
The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners created the board to ensure new development and redevelopment in the Heart of Navarre Overlay District meet standards established by the 2004 Navarre Town Center Plan.
Only two projects came before the board last week: a roadside sign for Higher Ground Coffee and Tea Co. and a picnic pavilion for American Legion Post 382 in Navarre.
Julie Isaac of Higher Ground said she and her husband, Andrew, planned to use two 8-inch diameter poles left from a previous business at 8476 Navarre Parkway to mount the rectangular sign for their new business, which recently opened.
