UPDATED: Names of Gulf Breeze murder/suicide couple released

Two elderly Gulf Breeze residents were the victims of an apparent murder/suicide June 2.

Roland Vincent Kelly, 87, and Doris Anne Kelly, 88, were found by a neighbor around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on a sofa in the master bedroom of their home at 3534 Hillside Ave., in Gulf Breeze.

Both suffered a single gunshot would to the head. Roland Kelly was found with a gun still in his hand, according to investigators.

A hand written note, dated May 30, 2010, was left inside the bedroom and was signed by both Roland and Doris.  The note indicated that both of the Kelly’s were willing participants in their deaths.
