Most of the area is saturated with sand, clay and low-nutrient soil.
Knowing this, local chiropractor Robert Randel decided to create a raised-bed organic community farm.
Instead of using commercial-grade fertilizer, Randel is using compost materials.
“Feeding the soil so it feeds the plants,” he said
