Growing community goodness

It’s no secret that trying to grow anything in the soil in South Santa Rosa County is hard.

Robert Randel is trying to start a community garden for

residents in Gulf Breeze 

 

 

Most of the area is saturated with sand, clay and low-nutrient soil.

Knowing this, local chiropractor Robert Randel decided to create a raised-bed organic community farm.

Instead of using commercial-grade fertilizer, Randel is using compost materials.

“Feeding the soil so it feeds the plants,” he said
