A suggestion to bill Lifeguard for assisting in their emergency calls is not an option for the Holley-Navarre Fire District.
The for profit, or private, ambulance company services Santa Rosa County under a contract that stipulates it as being part of a three-tier emergency response team - police, fire and ambulance. The contract was bid out a year ago and awarded to Lifeguard.
