Kevin Brian Bass, 34, of Mary Esther, was convicted of capital sexual battery on a victim less than 12 years old and lew or lascvicious conduct on Aug. 27.

The charges stemmed from an incident that occured in Navarre in June 2007 when Bass was babysitting the victim. The victim told a parent that Bass had forced hiim to perform sexual acts on Bass while they were in the bathroom at the child's house.
