Navarre may be unincorporated, but it doesn’t lack residents prominent in the community. Agnes Hansford, for example, for years has been known as  the  “First Lady of Navarre.”

Hansford was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Holley to one of the first families to live in the area. She died June 23, 2008, at the age of 91.
