Chamber honors 2008 Citizen of the Year at awards banquet

Several community leaders and members were the night's top guests at the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's 2009 Installation and Awards Banquet on Jan. 24.

of Commerce.

Sandi Kemp was named the chairman of the board for 2009, while Bart Pullum walked away with the Legendary Award. Capt. Mark Eubanks, a miltiary sciences instructor at Navarre High School and commander of the NJROTC, was honored as the citizen of the year.

Other winners include: Ambassador of the Year Linda Fusco, Emerging Leader Susan Durfee, Volunteer of the Year Ralph Agnew, Mentor of the Year Mike Sandler and Director of the Year Marcia Monti.

The chamber also installs new officers at the annual celebration. The 2009 Executive Board is comprised by Chairman Sandi Kemp, Navarre Press; Chair-elect Cinnamon Holderman, Abaca Mortgage; Vice-Chairman Tom Vatter, Kool Breeze of Northwest Florida; Treasurer Jon Kagan, Raymond James Financial Services; Secretary Bart Pullum, Bill Pullum Realty; and Past President Stacy Dahlberg, Regions Bank.

This is the first year the chamber’s presiding title is  “chairman.”  Dahlberg is the last Executive Board president.

The chamber also announced the 2009 Board of Directors: Ken Walters, Emerald Beach RV Park; Betsy Soles, The Club at Hidden Creek; Shannon Jacobs, Santa Rosa County Health Department; Mike Sandler, Hurlburt Chiefs Group; Sandra Eubanks, West Navarre Primary School; Joel Rudman, Holley-Navarre Medical Clinic; Marcia Monti, NRECI Inc.; Chad Volland, Cocodrie’s Restaurant; NiCol DeBruicker, Baptist Medical Park Navarre; and individual members Joyce Enghauser, Jean Goodin and Frankie Gibbs.
