Hill sentenced

Robert Lynn Hill appeared Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Santa Rosa County Court House receiving a sentence of 15 years in prison.

1_15_hill2_text.jpgHill, 20, pleaded no contest to leaving the scene of an accident in the deaths of two airmen.

Hill of Navarre is the driver accused of hitting Technical Sgt. Dan Schoen, 32, and his wife, Staff Sgt.Erin Schoen, 31, two airmen stationed at Hurlburt Field. The Schoens had been walking their dogs southbound on Pawnee Drive, just a few blocks from their home, when they were hit.

Hill turned himself in the day after the Aug. 31 accident. He posted a $50,000 bond on Oct. 20, 2008.
