The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will hold a day-long strategic planning and goal setting workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 16 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the board chambers, 6495 Caroline Street in Milton.
The workshop will include “state of the county” reports from local economic, military, and tourist leaders. County staff will also provide input on issues that affect Santa Rosa and the State of Florida, including current status and future projections. In the last part of the workshop, commissioners will work together to draft three to five internal and three to five external goals for 2009.
The public is invited to attend the meeting to observe. Additionally, the meeting will be streamed lived on the county Web site at http://www.santarosa.fl.gov/bocc/meetings.html, and the entire meeting will be available for download at the same link on December 17. To gather citizen input, a public meeting to discuss the goals will be held in January, followed by a series of evening town-hall style meetings in each commission voting district.
