Mission feeds 1,500 on Thanksgiving Day

With 200 pies, 80 25 pounds of turkeys and close to 100 volunteers from the community, Waterfront’s Great Thanksgiving Banquet will provide a memorable celebration for the helpless and lonely this year.
Robert Young, head of the Mission’s kitchen and graduate of Waterfront Rescue Mission’s Recovery Program, began roasting turkeys 20 at a time, a week before Thanksgiving.
