Santa Rosa County commissioners discussed pursuing a local option sales tax to fund a new judicial center at the April 22 commission committee meeting.
“We need to get this ball rolling,” said Commissioner Bob Cole, who had requested the issue be placed on the agenda for discussion. Cole projected the new facility would cost about $32 million. “We’re not gonna add bells and whistles. (We’re) not gonna build a Taj Mahal,” he said.
