John William Brooks II “no longer has to imagine what it is like to walk by Christ’s side, as he is now surrounded by His glory,’’said his son John Brooks III.
Brooks was a man of faith and “rejoiced each time someone came to know the Lord,” reads his obituary.
He lived his faith every day and encouraged those we befriended, and he never met a stranger.
“I can never remember being in his presence where he didn’t introduce himself to people in attendance and before the meeting was over, he had a friend in everyone he met,” said Phil Babiak, a lifelong friend.
Brooks died March 11. He was 75, one day short of his 76th birthday.
