Commissioners approve wellfield overlay expansion
Santa Rosa County Commissioners approved expanding the wellfield overlay district as recommended by Advanced Geospatial, Inc. at the Feb. 28 special commission meeting.
Commissioners were presented with four options to amend Land Development Code Article 6.05.25 for protecting well heads and wellfields in the Fairpoint Regional Utility System Wellfield Protection Overlay District.
Commissioners also considered changes to the district name and boundaries; and allowable and prohibited uses as well as performance standards for the designated areas.
