County reviews NYSA contract

Santa Rosa County officials are reviewing the contract between the Navarre Youths Sports Association and the county, according to Commissioner Jim Melvin.
The contract between NYSA and the county expired in March 2007, but Melvin explained that according to Florida law, when a lease expires and neither party makes an attempt to alter or cancel the lease, it becomes a “lease at will.”
“At this point with NYSA, it’s silent consent,” said Melvin.
