Farewell to the fire chief

More than 100 gathered Thursday morning  at the Navarre United Methodist Church to bid farewell to Fire Chief Les Slocum.

11_6_slocumvideothumb.jpgHe died Oct. 31 from complications with colon cancer. A procession of 148 cars - including fire engines from several area towns - lead the way to Barancas National Cemetery in Pensacola where he was buried.
