Florida Gov. Rick Scott sent a letter Sept. 20 to the Federal Emergency Management Agency stating his intent to appeal President Barack Obama’s denial for supplemental federal assistance due to Hurricane Isaac.
In the denial letter, FEMA Administrator W. Craig Fugate, wrote that “it has been determined that the damage from this event was not of such severity and magnitude as to be beyond the capabilities of the state and affected local governments.”
