On Oct. 28, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection launched a boat into the Santa Rosa Sound, on a mission to test the waters from the Navarre Beach Wastewater Plant to the Narrows section of the Sound.
But the testing was not random. It was an effort to determine if the Navarre Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant is contaminating the Sound.
The results yielded a pleasant answer.
