Les Slocum passes away

Les (Chief) Slocum died on
October 31, 2008 at his home in Navarre surrounded by his family.
He was born August 22, 1950 in Little Falls New York to Arthur and Margret Crouch. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty and caring daughter Lisa as well as a family of firefighters.
Les recently retired as the Chief of Holley Navarre Fire Department after serving forty years in the fire service. Les was loved by many and all who knew him. He was a firemen to the core. Firefighting was his passion along with caring about everyone.
The viewing will be held at Lewis Funeral Home in Navarre on Wednesday Nov. 5th from 5-8. The funeral service will be held at the Navarre United Methodist Church on Thursday Nov. 6th at 11:30 am following services the burial with be held at Barrancas National Cementary in Pensacola at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family request dontations be made to the Les Slocum Memorial Fund at the Whitney Bank in Navarre.
