The Jordans: A family portrait of pain, hope

Mark Jordan, right, and his son David stand in the front yard of what used to be their home before an electrical fire on April 30 melted away most of their house and belongings.

Cecelia Drive used to be home for the Jordans. Like their family of eight, it was a humble home located in Fort Walton Beach.

But on Dec. 31, 2011, one of their own was taken from them, and while the rest of the world was bringing in the new year, the Jordans were unaware they were about to experience a year they would certainly like to forget.
