Santa Rosa County School District will soon have to make do with less money.
John Rogers, superintendent of Santa Rosa County schools, led a budget task force meeting Oct. 15 to discuss the future of the school district and measures that need to be taken sooner rather than later. The district is looking at losing between $16 and $18 million in the next few years.
“No word has been official,” Rogers said of the possible budget cuts. “But when they say prepare for this, it’s going to happen.”
