Robert Lynn Hill, the Navarre man accused of killing airmen Dan and Erin Schoen, had a reduced bond hearing on Oct. 20 and was released on bail that day.
Hill’s original bond was set at $250,000, but with a good prior record and testimony from his father, Judge Ron Swanson lowered the bond to $50,000.
Hill is charged with two counts of leaving a scene involving death and perjury in an official proceeding. He turned himself in the day after the Aug. 31 accident. The Schoens were walking their dogs southbound on Pawnee Drive, just a few blocks from their home, when they were hit.
Assistant State Attorney John Molchan, who is prosecuting the case, brought Hill’s two first-degree felonies into discussion.
