Troopers are asking for the public's help in locating a car believed to have been involved in an accident Saturday that took the life of Gulf Breeze resident Germaine L. Bindi.
Bindi, 77, was taken to Baptist Hospital in Gulf Breeze where he was pronounced dead on Sunday.
The car in questions was described as a Pontiac GTO, two-door, that is burnt orange or bronze in color.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report, the GTO was racing a Ford Mustang, driven by Logan B. Drinkard, 21, of Pensacola, eastbound along U.S. Highway 98 and Twin Pine Boulevard at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 26.
At the same time, Victor P. Bindi, 73, of Gulf Breeze was traveling westbound along U.S. 98, attempting to turn left onto Twin Pine Boulevard.
Drinkard struck the left side of Bindi's car, causing it to crash into a guard wire from a power pole.
Germaine Bindi was a passenger in Victor Bindi's car. Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Victor Bindi was also taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Drinkard declined treatment for his injuries, and he was also wearing a seat belt.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Anyone with information about the GTO is asked to call Trooper Roper at 484-5000, etx. 326.
