Gulf Breeze Zoo is planning some spooky fun for children and adults alike with their upcoming Boo at the Zoo Halloween themed events.
This is the second year that the zoo's new owners have hosted the event, and the zoo's director, Kayte Wanko, is hoping that this year's events are an even bigger success than last years.
"We did really, really well last year," said Wanko, "and we doubled (our figures) from the previous event, which is what we expect for most of our events."
In 2010, more than 800 families attended the Trick or Treat Trail, and the zoo is expecting that number to double this year.
Local businesses sponsor trick or treat stations on the trail, which is designed to be family friendly and allows kids less than 12 years old gather goodies in a safe environment.
