Navarre High School Junior ROTC cadets may have only been in primary school on Sept. 11, 2001, but today they all understand the significance it had for the nation.
NHS students and more than 140 ROTC cadets lined the high school parking lot Friday morning in remembrance of the tenth anniversary of 9/11. Cadets took turns reading aloud the names of the 2,996 people who died following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Cadets arrived at school Friday at 5:45 a.m. to place 2,996 American flags in the ground to represent those lost lives.
