TEAM Santa Rosa was given a six month contract renewal but has until Oct. 3 to prove that it is the best foundation upon which to build Santa Rosa County's economic future.
After captious public remarks and debate among the commissioners, the contract extension was unanimously decided during the Santa Rosa County commissioners Sept. 8 meeting. The present contract expires Sept. 30
Debra Nelson, chair of the Santa Rosa County Democrats asked Cindy Anderson, TEAM executive director, "How many jobs has TEAM Santa Rosa created in the last eight years?"
Anderson replied "I can't give you a number for the last eight years."
However, Anderson added that if that is a question the commissioners have, she would be excited to bring that back to the workshop in October.
The Oct. 3 commission public workshop on TEAM Santa Rosa will accept input from the residents, TEAM and commissioners on TEAM's contract and expectations.
