Hamilton gets 30 years for robbery

Marci Lee Hamilton, 35, of Navarre, was sentenced to 30 years in state prison as a prison release reoffender.

Hamilton was convicted by a Santa Rosa County jury on Aug. 5 of robbery while wearing a hood or mask.

On March 5, 2010, Hamilton entered the Tom Thumb at 9810 Navarre Parkway, wearing a purple sweatshirt with the hood pulled over her head.  

She purchased some Marlboro “reds” cigarettes but before leaving the store ordered the clerk to open the register and give her the money.
