Residents may have a chance to vote on the Navarre Town Center Plan on the November 2012 ballot.
Santa Rosa County commissioners approved the recommendations from the zoning board to change the Heart of Navarre Overlay District in the Town Center Plan during an Aug. 25 public hearing. The recommendations included removing the Navarre Architectural Review Board, the architectural-style restrictions, the restrictions on building paint colors and the First Addition of Navarre subdivision.
Commissioners also seemed in favor of a suggestion made by Bob Hartley, a real estate broker with Crystal Shores Reality in Navarre, to let the people of Navarre vote on whether to keep the plan and finance the plan if it was approved.
