Fund established to honor fire chief

A fund honoring the service of former Holley-Navarre Fire District Fire Chief Les Slocum will be set up at the Whitney Bank in Navarre, Fla.

 

 

10_16_slocum_text.jpgSlocum was diagnosed with colon cancer in August of 2007, and started chemotherapy immediately after. He gave his notice of a medical retirement in early September, stating that his last two months would start on Nov. 1.
