Escambia drug sweep nets Navarre, Gulf Breeze men

A drug sweep of several Pensacola, Fla.,  homes early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of two local men.

David W. Walker, 45, of Manatee Road in Navarre, and Edward Joseph Crown, 53, of Eventide Drive in Gulf Breeze, were arrested at their homes as a result of a racketeering case involving drug distribution.

Walker was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver and purchase cocaine, trafficking cocaine over 28 grams and under 150 grams, and racketeering.

Crown was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver and trafficking marijuana 25 pounds or 300 plants or more, and racketeering.

The men were arrested by Santa Rosa County deputies and held in the county jail until being transferred to the Escambia County jail.

Crown was released on $105,000 bond and Walker was released on $120,000 bond. No court date has yet been set.
