Nearly 35 firefighters were called to the scene of a Deer Lane home to battle a fully-involved fire Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters from Midway, Navarre Beach, Holley-Navarre, Florosa, East Milton and Hurlburt Field, responded to the two-alarm fire, which rang out at 1:05 p.m.
“It was called in from a neighbor on Military Trail who saw it through the woods,” said Lt. Dan Davidson, of Holley-Navarre Fire District.
The structure was a double-wide mobile home. A shed nearbywas also engulfed.
No one was injured.
“There as a dog locked in a kennel that we were able to get out,” Davidson said. “We sprayed him down with a bunch of water and went in and got him. He was also not injured.”
Firefighters from Midway, Holley-Navarre and Navarre Beach who were off-duty were also called-in to help battle the blaze.
The last firefighting units cleared the scene shortly after 6 p.m., Davidson said.
