High speed chase ends with a crash

FreyU.S. Marshals and Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies chased down wanted Indiana fugitive Zachary Frey with the high speed chase ending at the Holley-Navarre Middle School when the fugitive crashed his vehicle into a law enforcement official’s truck May 19.

Sheriff’s deputies locked down the school when the chase entered the parking lot, but the school was cleared shortly after the fugitive was caught.

According to Dominic Guadagnoli, inspector with Florida Regional Fugitive Taskforce U.S. Marshal Service in Pensacola, Frey is the suspect in a number of burglaries in Vienna, Ind., in which several guns and electronic equipment was stolen.

Frey was staying at the Days Inn in Navarre when marshals were given information about his possible location from an Indiana state police task force. The task force also told Guadagnoli that Frey would have a gun and transportation.
