In a recent decision, the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners combined the Planning and Zoning and the Zoning Board of Adjustments into one board that will now be referred to as the Zoning Board.
During the May 12 meeting, the commissioners appointed two members from their districts to the new board.
Commissioner Jim Melvin recommended Robin Edwards and David Powell to represent Navarre’s district, District 4, on the new zoning board.
“They were both referred to me by people I know and trust, and they’re both obviously competent in their fields of work,” said Melvin.
