Citizens question why lowest trash bid was not accepted

The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners heard concerns April 25 over who would be providing waste pick up from two citizens who said Republic Services/Allied Waste had a lower price and a better bid.
The county commissioners are still in negotiations with Waste Management and Waste Pro to service the trash hauling needs of the Navarre area and the Midway/Gulf Breeze areas.
