Celebrating libraries, including their employees and volunteers, couldn’t come at a better time, according to the director of Santa Rosa County libraries, since the system is facing a possible $250,000 budget cut.
“We are in a time when it’s a danger that the state is going to reduce the funding we’ll get from the legislature so it’s a really good time to highlight what a resource we are to our communities,” Director Linda Hendrix said. “The more funding we lose the more people are going to lose services.”
