The 2011 Gulf Coast Tour de Cure raised more then $106,000 for the American Diabetes Association during the ride April 2, but have not reached their goal of $130,000 according to volunteer and rider Zack Smith.
The ride is over, but people can still donate by visiting www.diabetes.org /tour for about 30 more days.

No date has been set for next year’s annual Tour de Cure  yet, but Smith said it will probably be in April again as it is diabetes awareness month.
