Improper U-turn leads to traffic clogging accident

An attempt at a U-turn on U.S. Highway 98 lead to a two-car accident that backed up traffic headed eastbound on U.S. 98.
On March 25 around 1:20 p.m. William Robinson, of Navarre, was driving westbound on U.S. 98. Meanwhile Sara Green, also of Navarre, was headed eastbound on U.S. 98.
Robinson attempted to make a U-turn near the intersection with Coral St. When he attempted the U-turn his vehicle struck Green’s vehicle, according to Lt. Steven Preston, Public Information officer of the Florida Highway Patrol.
Robinson was transported to Gulf Breeze Hospital with minor injuries. Green reported no injuries, according to Preston.
Each driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Robinson was cited with improper U-turn, according to Preston.
