A route connecting Holley By The Sea with the area east of Panhandle Trail could join projects seeking state funding as soon as April.
“We need to do whatever we can to take some of the pressure off of [U.S.] Highway 98, especially in the downtown Navarre area,” Santa Rosa County Commissioner Jim Melvin said Monday at a commission committee meeting in Milton. “We can always back off...but I’d like to see us get the ball rolling on this.”
