In a water board meeting on March 15, Christine Sipp commented that her water and sewer bill had gone up $20 a month during the last eight years.
Though that increase works out to be less than $0.21 a month over those last eight years, she also said that our rates are 12 percent higher than those in Tucson, Ariz. Her figures are correct making Navarre’s rates higher than Tucson’s. For 11,220 gallons of water, or as Tucson measures it, 15 ccfs, someone in Tucson will pay about $31 and a Holley-Navarre Water System member will pay about $45.
