The trial for the former Air Force staff sergeant at Hurlburt Field accused in the death of Byrd and Melanie Billings was deemed a mistrial on March 3.
Donnie Stallworth, 29, was one of seven people charged in the July 9, 2009 home invasion that lead to the death of the couple.
According to the State Attorney’s Office early March 3, both sides had rested and were finished with closing arguments and they had hoped a verdict would be decided. However, by the end of the day, it was a hung jury.
