The second vehicle pulled into the intersection when the light turned green for south- and northbound traffic. The first vehicle struck the left side of the second vehicle, and the two came to a rest in the intersection.
The driver of the first vehicle was identified as James M. Streacker, 17, of Navarre. He was taken to Baptist Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. The Florida Highway Patrol reported Streacker was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. A passenger, Shane Stansell, 18, of Pace was also injured and taken to Baptist Hospital, but his injuries were listed as minor. He was wearing his seatbelt.
