Navarre Beach Firefighter local files complaint with NLRB

On Monday, the Navarre Beach Professional Firefighters, the local for the International Association of Fire Fighters, filed papers with the National Labor Relations Board claiming unfair labor practices by the board of directors of Navarre Beach Fire Department Inc. Officers with the local noted that this is the second time they have taken this type of action, following a filing four years ago.

The firefighters also voiced other complaints against board members, opining that these board members are casting them in a bad light to the leaseholders on Navarre Beach.

“We want to make it clear we are not asking for a tax increase,” Navarre Beach firefighter and local president Shaun Hall explained. “We are trying to work out a contract that will fit within the current budget.”
