Tomlinson sentenced to 30 years in state prison

State Attorney Bill Eddins announced last week that John Mitchell Tomlinson, 46, was sentenced to 30 years in state prison on each of three counts of sexual battery by a person in familial or custodial authority.
Walton County Circuit Judge Kelvin Wells sentenced the defendant in Santa Rosa County Circuit Court on Dec. 14. All three sentences are to run concurrent. Tomlinson was also designated a sexual predator for life.
