A plan to widen State Road 87 between Naval Air Station Whiting Field and the Alabama line would displace 46 homes and a business, but residents need not worry for now, a consultant said. None of the roughly $181 million needed for the project is budgeted through at least 2035.
That didn’t stop Deborah Fiss, who lives just south of Allentown Road on SR 87, from sharing her concerns at a public workshop on Dec. 7 at First Assembly of God Church in Milton.
