Navarre Beach to host sand sculpting festival

Tourism officials hope the Navarre Beach Sand Sculpting Festival will be as much advertisement as attraction.
“A concert is great, but we want to show everybody the beach is beautiful,” said William Younce of MDi Media Group Inc. “What better way to show the beaches are alright than to show this beautiful white sand shaped and molded into these amazing images?” The festival will take place from Friday, Sept. 24, through Sunday, Sept. 26 near Navarre Beach Pier.
